Disputes Concerning Children
Disputes concerning children – whether that be between parents and a local authority or private law proceedings between family members - are amongst the most emotive and require a sensitive approach.
We have a team of experienced solicitors well versed in running these cases. Rebecca Cole of this firm is a member of the Law Society Children’s Panel in recognition of her specialist knowledge in this area of law.
We can assist with:-
- Acting for parents or children in disputes with a local authority concerning for example care proceedings.
- Acting for parents or other family members such as grandparents or step-parents in private proceedings – for example concerning a Child Arrangements Order.
Where available we can apply for legal aid on your behalf:
- Legal aid is available for proceedings between parents and family members on a much more limited basis.
- The Applicant must evidence that they are the victim of domestic violence and be of limited financial means.
