Recruitment Agencies

Lawson Lewis Blakers would ask that all Recruitment Agencies adhere to the below provisions. Applications made by agencies outside that set out below will not be accepted.

Initial Instructions and Authorisation

Ordinarily, the Practice Manager will contact the Agency via email or telephone and set out the assistance required – including standard vacancy information. If the Agency requires additional information then they are to contact the Practice Manager in the first instance.

Candidates/Applications

All applications submitted by Agencies on behalf of candidates must be sent directly to the Practice Manager, Liz Grace. These applications must set out specifically which vacancy they relate to. Generic or speculative applications from Agencies will not be accepted or considered.

We would expect the Agency to have interviewed the candidate as to the suitability for a role, and to have ensured that any candidate has a legal right to work within the UK.

If an application is received from more than one agency regarding the same candidate then this Firm will treat the one received first as the relevant Agency. If there is a dispute over which Agency first introduced the candidate, then it will be for the candidate to choose as to who represents them. If a dispute continues after this point we expect the Agencies concerned to resolve the matter without the need for the involvement of this Firm.

Ongoing and Further Communications

We expect all communications from Agencies to be directed to the Practice Manager, Liz Grace. This Firm does not respond to “cold calling”, or speculative enquires. Therefore we ask that communications or approaches are only made to this Firm with respect to advertised vacancies, or vacancies that this Firm has made an Agency aware.

We will only provide feedback where a candidate has reached at least an interview stage, and in any event we will only do so if a request is made in writing.

Equal Opportunities and Commitment to Data Protection Legislation

We would expect Agencies to comply with all relevant legislation in the handling of candidate information on behalf of this Firm.

All Agencies must comply with the relevant legislation, and ethos, of equal opportunity throughout the entire recruitment process.

This Firm may store and process candidate details and information in accordance with the appropriate legislation. This will be treated in strict confidence and not passed on to any third parties without the appropriate consent of the Agency or the candidate.

Arrangements as to Fees

This Firm requires all Agencies to supply us with their terms and conditions, including information as to fees, prior to submitting any applications to us on behalf of any candidates. We will require 28 days’ notice of any changes as to an Agency’s terms of business.

All invoices, including in respect to temporary staff, will be sent to the Practice Manager directly. We will endeavour to settle all Agency invoices within 21 days of the Practice Manager receiving the same.

If there is any conflict between the above terms, and the terms and conditions of an Agency, the above terms will prevail.
