Remembrance Sunday parades and observances

Lawson Lewis Blakers joined the Lewes crowds to witness the Remembrance Sunday parades and observances.

At 11am the two minutes silence was observed at the War Memorial with a maroon fired both before and after the period of respect for the dead of two world wars and other conflicts

We gave thanks that our country is free because so many gave their lives for our freedom.

We can wake up without fear every day to enjoy sights such as this morning’s beautiful sunrise.
